Capturing all the hype surrounding Rock Star Games’ Grand Theft Auto IV, Matthew Johnson has compiled a detailed photoset comparing both the real life landscape of New York City vs. the pixelated fictional version of Liberty City . You’d be surprised at how closely modeled the latter is with the photos revealing many similar buildings and locations.

I love driving around and bumping into landmarks in this game. Very true to life aside from mixing certain ones next to each other but I can let it slide since it is a game after all. I spotted a few Queens landmarks myself like 5PTZ, Citibank Building, the park in Flushing. Yadda Yadda. These are just a few of the ones in Manhattan.
